The work of Los Angeles based fine artist Lisa Adams plays with an incredible amount of texture, depth and an acute attention to detail - which all culminate in a message that is sure to resonate within your soul. The last two decades of Adams' career has provided her the knowledge and refined technique to turn the most simple into what can be described as simply indescribable beauty. My great friend and fellow PR&T member, A. Moret, owns several of Adams' pieces and originally introduced me to the artist. From the delightful discovery of her work, combined with the immediate visceral response I felt from viewing what was just the "tip of the iceberg" - I knew that I was about to meet someone with great power and a future of being considered an icon within the North American art community. During my visit to Lisa Adams' studio at the Santa Fe Art Colony, which hosts neighboring artists and many of the small bird characters that she paints, I was able to personally reflect on what it takes to be a true artist. Lisa Adams is Pretty Rough and Tough.
